There are two levels of tests that members and non-members are required to take during training.
Basic pre-tests: The basic editorial pre-test is a skills assessment test. Participants are required to take this test before every course they register to attend. This will enable facilitators to evaluate participants’ proficiency in course subjects, and assist with their teaching methods. This test is open to both members and non-members.
Membership upgrading tests: These are tests open to only members of the society. Members who are upgrading to a higher level in the membership scheme are obligated to take tests to demonstrate their competence. The editorial tests are based on SBMEN curriculum, which members must be familiar with at their level. SBMEN uses the test scores – among other criteria – as part of the requirements for upgrading membership.
