Course Objectives

This two-day course will train participants on how to credit individuals for the creative and intellectual works cited to support the research in their work or their client’s work. Participants will learn the importance of style guides, and types of citation and referencing styles (APA, MLA, Chicago, Oxford etc.) and presentation techniques.

What will I learn?

By the end of this course, you will be able to do the following:

–   Have knowledge of the purposes and functions of different style guides

–   Identify types of citation and referencing styles

–   Understand how to choose a style guide to cite sources

–   Understand style guides and citation techniques.

–    Construct and present citations

–    Arrange bibliographic entries and indexes
